Walking Through the Imperial Center
We begin with a pickup at 9:00 AM or 1:00 PM. Your journey starts at the Plaza de Armas, the historical and social center of Cusco. Surrounded by colonial arches and grand churches, this square is the starting point for our walking tour. We will navigate through the most famous neighborhoods, including San Blas and the iconic 12-angled Stone Street, where the precision of Inca masonry is on full display.
Next, we visit the Coricancha (Temple of the Sun). Once the richest temple in the empire, its walls were once covered in gold. Your QOSQO ADVENTURES guide will explain the fascinating contrast between the original Inca foundations and the Spanish Convent of Santo Domingo built directly on top of them.
The Great Archaeological Circuit
The second part of our tour takes us just outside the city to Sacsayhuaman. This massive fortress features stones weighing over 300 tons, fitted together with incredible accuracy. It is also the stage for the famous Inti Raymi (Sun Festival) every June. We continue our drive to Qenqo, a limestone outcrop carved with ritual chambers, followed by the «Red Fort» of Puka Pukara and the sacred water fountains of Tambomachay.
Sunset at Cristo Blanco
On our return journey, we stop at Cristo Blanco. This 8-meter statue, gifted by the Palestinian community in 1945, offers the most famous panoramic view of the red-tiled roofs of Cusco. It is the perfect spot for photos before we drop you back at your hotel.

Essential Travel Information
Acclimatization and Health
Cusco sits at 3,400 m (11,150 ft). We recommend arriving at least 24–48 hours before the tour to adjust to the thinner air. Drink plenty of water, eat light meals, and try the local coca tea to help with symptoms of altitude sickness. If you feel unwell, please inform your QOSQO ADVENTURES guide immediately.
The Cusco Tourist Ticket (BTC)
This tour includes the Partial Tourist Ticket (Circuit I), valid for one day and covering the four main ruins. If you plan to visit the Sacred Valley or museums later, you may want to purchase the General Ticket (valid for 10 days). Our staff can help you decide which option is best for your travel plans.
Best Time to Visit
The dry season from May to September offers sunny days and clear skies, ideal for photography. June is particularly busy due to local festivities. April and October are excellent «shoulder» months with fewer crowds and pleasant conditions.
